Generally safari camps throughout Africa have set times for meals around the safari activities and offer smorgasbords. The high end camps do offer table service though still offer a limited selection of starters, mains and desserts due to limited access to fresh foods.Flatdogs is unique and has a very high reputation for having a great variety of high quality food, ala carte menu with an all day breakfast and main menu which guests truly love the flexibility and variety. Having such great training from Ade Flatdogs caters for all dietary needs; something which is very much required for todays travellers.

When the camp is not so busy with in house guests the valley locals are welcome to dine in our restaurant and enjoy the beautiful setting in the courtyard or garden tables overlooking the national park and the Luangwa River.

Fortunately for Jamie and I we are able to eat off both menus every day which is a blessing when we both work long hours in peak season and really don’t have time to plan, prepare and cook our meals.
