Guests were treated to sun downers and carols on Christmas Eve with the ellie’s passing by. Christmas Day they enjoyed a morning safari and were greeted back into camp by Santa who gave out presents to the kids. Ade and his team of chefs served up the most delicious Christmas lunch including goats cheese panna cotta with cape gooseberry goolis and rocket salad, traditional Turkey with all the trimmings and White Chocolate and ginger cheesecake with salted caramel (and that’s only a snap shot!). In true safari style our guests went out on the usual afternoon game drives.

What a sensational way to celebrate!

On Christmas morning we Facetimed our families and missed our grandkids and kids so much though we worked a massive amount of hours and again learnt a lot about the Flatdogs Christmas program ready for the 2017 Christmas. After 15 years Jess and Ade are planning a very well earned Christmas off in 2017 to celebrate with their family in Australia.

A group of nurses and I had a lot of fun creating this Flatdogs Christmas song while on route back from the carols at the Kalwani Pan. It was a very special drive for me in a Flatdogs safari 4×4 under 1000’s of stars with a group of American Peace Corp volunteer nurses (who had quite a number of Christmas eve drinks) and met elephants on the side of the road. A truly memorable moment of my life.
