My desk is located in an office off from the Reception area which looks up the main access into the camp. I arrived at work on Friday and Richard our Nightwatchman who had worked the night shift escorting guess and watching out for the safety of the camp called me to look at some elephants and giraffes walking very close to the Reception area.

I asked Richard “did he love the giraffes and elephants or was he calling me being a tourist?” he replied “he never is tired of watching the animals and loves seeing then every day of his life”. Richard would be about 58 years old and has lived his whole life in Mfuwe and he tells me that “he loves these animals” with great pride and passion in his voice.
